While sweet, innocent cherry blossoms herald the arrival of spring across Japan from late March to May, something more sinister is festering at the American Cinematheque with Watch Local: Little Tokyo.
The series sprouts up with neo-noir crime thrillers FAREWELL, MY LOVELY and THE CRIMSON KIMONO, matures into full blown horror with PRINCE OF DARKNESS, and plummets back to the cold hard ground with the spine-chilling BROTHER, each exploring a side of the neighborhood that isn’t so kawaii.
