Please join the American Cinematheque in wishing the legendary Harry Belafonte a very happy birthday with a special tribute.
On March 1st, Harry’s birthday, there will be a curated double feature of ODDS AGAINST TOMORROW and KANSAS CITY. Introduced by granddaughter of Harry Belafonte, Maria Belafonte, we will be joined by special guests for a panel about Harry’s legacy and life on set during these films.
The fun continues later in the week at the Los Feliz 3 theatre with screenings of classics, picked out by Harry Belafonte himself. Join us for CARMEN JONES, BUCK AND THE PREACHER, THE ANGEL LEVINE, and UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT.
