Frederick Wiseman: An American Cinematheque Retrospective

ABOUT THE SERIES:

Zipporah Films has completed a historic digitization process, making all 46 of Frederick Wiseman’s films available digitally. This five-year endeavor saw an additional 33 films of Wiseman’s converted to digital formats, adding to the existing 13 films.

With the digitization complete, the American Cinematheque is thrilled to present a complete retrospective of Wiseman’s films, beginning in the fall. Few filmmakers have made such a lasting and continual impact on the art form as Frederick Wiseman, and we are so honored to have the opportunity to present the grand, unparalleled scope of his career through this complete retrospective. The announcement of this incredible restoration project is some of the greatest news in the world of documentary filmmaking of the last decade.
