The American Cinematheque is thrilled to welcome filmmakers Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas to the Aero Theatre for their staggering global cinematic phenomenon, OPPENHEIMER in 70mm. In celebration of Nolan and Thomas’s latest masterwork—produced by Thomas and Charles Roven and written for the screen, directed and produced by Nolan—this retrospective looks back at some of their bold, boundary-shattering films presented in 70mm format, including INTERSTELLAR, DUNKIRK and TENET. Nolan and Thomas’s films, including INCEPTION and THE DARK KNIGHT Trilogy, have reshaped cinematic language, have earned more than $6 billion at the global box office and have been awarded 11 Oscars and 36 nominations, including two Best Picture nominations.
