The posthumous work of Oscar Catacora, completed by his uncle and filmmaker Tito Catacora, YANA-WARA, Peru’s selection for Best International Feature Film unravels the case 80-year-old Don Evaristo who is accused of murdering of his 13 year old granddaughter, Yana-Wara. During the hearing, everyone learns the tragic story of this young woman, who, as a result of gender violence, begins to have terrifying visions after being touched by the evil spirits that inhabit the forbidden places of the Andes.
