When Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper burst onto the genre scene with VANISHING WAVES, it was clear that a new duo of monumental talent had arrived so it’s no surprise that their follow-up, a sci-fi magnum opus called VESPER is even more enticing than their previous effort. After the collapse of the Earth’s ecosystem, 13-year-old Vesper struggles to survive in the wilderness alongside her paralyzed father whilst keeping her sinister uncle at bay – however the crash of a craft and the arrival of a mysterious woman will set them all on a path of conflict as Vesper will use all her skills to ensure that Earth can have a future. Creating a richly alive and utterly believable world, directors Kristina and Bruno craft the kind of epic sci-fi that never loses sight of its engaging central character – blessed with atmosphere, amazing performances and intellect, VESPER is science fiction at its most beguiling on the big screen.
