ABOUT THE FILM
A mistake with a fortune in Mafia money has left Titta Di Girolamo (Toni Servillo) exiled to a Swiss hotel, where he must serve as a courier for the crime bosses. Over the course of eight years, his life has settled into solitary routine, until hotel barmaid Sofia (Olivia Magnani) catches his eye – an attraction that brings unintended consequences. A Palme d’Or nominee, Sorrentino’s first film with longtime cinematographer Luca Bigazzi uses stylish camera work to give the story’s subdued setting and occasional grim turns a visual flair.
