ABOUT THE FILM: When Sylvia Scarlett (Katherine Hepburn) and her father (Edmund Gwenn) must flee France one step ahead of the authorities, she cuts her hair, dons men’s clothes and passes herself as Sylvester Scarlett. But crossing the Channel, jewel smuggler Jimmy Monkley (Cary Grant) rats on her to divert attention away from himself.
