ABOUT THE FILM:
Unhappy with his life, middle-aged banker Arthur Hamilton receives a call from his friend Charlie, whom he thought was dead, with an offer to change his life. Agreeing to it, Arthur undergoes a procedure to fake his death and give him a completely new look and identity. However, he soon realizes the newness of his ideal life is fleeting. Star Rock Hudson plays against John Randolph as director John Frankenheimer weaves a bleak tale of the cost of happiness and one’s true self with stark and surreal cinematography by James Wong Howe.
