King Ubu ascends the throne with a political platform based primarily on manipulation and boozing. Once in power, however, his absurd behavior gives way to a bloody reign of terror. Piotr Szulkin’s last film analogizes the political state of post-Cold War Poland with a clever and incendiary flavor.
