ABOUT THE FILM
On New Year’s Eve, the Saturn Theatre is throwing their yearly concert. But when the venue’s owner suffers a heart attack, stage manager Neil Allen (Daniel Stern) must make sure the show must go on while dealing with a rowdy crowd, even rowdier musicians including Reggie Wanker (Malcolm McDowell doing a splendid spoof of Mick Jagger) and slimy concert promoter Colin Beverly (Ed Begley) trying to sabotage the concert so he can take over the building. Director Allan Arkush’s anarchic comedy brings the sex, drugs and rock ’n roll and is the perfect way to bring in any New Year.
