ABOUT THE FILM: From the creator of THE SOPRANOS, NOT FADE AWAY is director/screenwriter David Chase’s deeply felt love letter to ’60s blues and R&B, and to dreams that come true and the ones that never do. John Magaro, Jack Huston, Will Brill, James Gandolfini, Bella Heathcote and Brad Garrett star in the critically acclaimed film which Rolling Stone called, “A gritty, graceful salute to Rock & Roll” (Peter Travers, 2012). It’s the 1960s and British music is changing the world. Inspired by a bold new era and his success in a local band, Douglas (Magaro) drops out of college to pursue his musical dreams, much to the anger of his father (Gandolfini). When Gene (Huston), the band’s lead singer, has a mishap that temporarily knocks him out as frontman, Doug takes over. The band’s new sound is a hit with the local crowd, leading to Gene’s ever-increasing resentment. Faced with the harsh realities of the music industry, Douglas is forced to choose between listening to his father or listening to his heart. FORMAT: DCP DISTRIBUTOR: Paramount Pictures COUNTRY: USA
